Insights from Bob Gold, CEO & Chief Behavioral Technologist of GoMo Health

At GoMo Health, we believe the future of healthcare lies not just in technology, but in meeting people where they are in their daily lives. To unpack how behavioral science and digital engagement are reshaping care delivery, Invest: New Jersey sat down with our CEO and Chief Behavioral Technologist, Bob Gold. Below are Bob’s perspectives on today’s healthcare challenges, innovation opportunities, and GoMo Health’s role in helping organizations improve access, outcomes, and engagement at scale.

Invest: What have been the most significant milestones or achievements for GoMo Health this year?

We had an excellent year with recurring revenue growing over 30%. We added major new clients — including Lilly and Humana — which reflects broad market trust in what we’re building. In New Jersey, we’re proud of deep partnerships with the Mental Health Association in New Jersey and others focused on behavioral health, social determinants of health, and community impact.”

Invest: How has the integration of behavioral science into digital health solutions evolved, particularly in New Jersey?

Behavioral science has always been our foundation, and it’s gratifying to see the broader healthcare field adopt digital engagement approaches that scale care beyond the clinic. More organizations are recognizing that connecting with people emotionally and behaviorally is essential to improving health, especially for underserved communities.

Invest: How has integration of mental health support into the management of chronic illness progressed?

We’re seeing acceptance grow that addressing the brain is fundamental to managing physical health. For example, our Moms Mood Disorder program supports perinatal and postpartum individuals coping with anxiety and depression, with thousands enrolled. Treating mental and physical health as intertwined leads to significant improvements in outcomes.

Invest: Today’s teens face unique mental health challenges. How is GoMo addressing this?

Young people are navigating stressors that previous generations didn’t experience — from online pressures to societal unrest. Our programs for teens incorporate elements like music and interactive ‘edu-tainment’ that make engagement approachable and fun, creating support systems that feel safe and relevant.

Invest: What challenges do healthcare providers face with remote patient engagement technologies, and how does GoMo Health address them?

Trust and personalization are major barriers. Many patients — especially in underserved populations — need individualized support before they act on clinical advice. Our approach starts by asking questions and tailoring engagement based on real preferences and behavior. We know about 60% of people leave a provider visit with unanswered questions. We help fill that gap using proactive, scalable digital engagement.

Invest: With the rise of telehealth services, how is GoMo Health ensuring security and privacy?

We partner with over 60 major health institutions, including top health systems and plans, so security is paramount. We have also received HITRUST certification to further strengthen our compliance posture. Our BehavioralRx® platform also embeds ethical, evidence-based engagement rather than relying on generic predictive algorithms alone.

Invest: Looking ahead: What is your outlook on the future of healthcare and GoMo Health’s priorities?

We recently launched a dedicated Women, Children, and Family Division to better address life-stage care needs. Women’s health — from pregnancy to menopause — remains under-served, and our programs aim to close that gap with personalized behavioral engagement. Going forward, we will continue expanding programs that connect people to needed support in the moments that matter most.

What This Means for Your Organization

At GoMo Health, our work is about more than digital interaction — it’s about connecting people with support, education, and resources in ways that resonate with them personally.
