Ensuring Families and Caregivers Have the Tools They Need to Succeed

Florida Grade-Level Reading Campaign (FGLRC) is a collaborative effort by foundations, nonprofit partners, business leaders, government agencies, and communities across the nation to ensure that more children in low-income families succeed in school and graduate prepared for college, a career and a life of active citizenship. The Campaign focuses on an important predictor of school success and high school graduation: grade-level reading by the end of third grade.

FGLRC sought ways to increase the awareness of the importance of quality early education and interactions and to provide families, educators, and communities with messages and tools for developing children’s language and literacy.

The Early Care child education program empowers families, educators, and communities with practical tools, trusted resources, and evidencebased guidance to support early language and literacy development, milestone tracking, and overall health and wellness.

By fostering strong parent-child bonds and engaging community partners, the program builds a strong foundation for children to learn, grow, and thrive from birth through school readiness.
