Biography
Robert Kley is the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Mental Health Association in New Jersey, serving in that position for the past 18 years. Under his leadership, the organization has created a broad array of innovative community-based programs addressing the community’s behavioral health challenges. These include MHANJ Call Center that receives over 60,000 information and referrals calls per year, Mental Health First Aid for NJ that has trained over 10,000 individuals as gatekeepers to accessing mental health services, NJ Connect for Recovery – a family-focused support program for those dealing with the opioid epidemic. In 2012 he oversaw the NJ Hope and Healing Hurricane Sandy FEMA Crisis Counseling Program. Kley has been a leading advocate in the creation of services being provided by peers- individuals in recovery and working to integrate physical and behavioral health services. He is a graduate of Rutgers University and lives in Brick, NJ.
