For more than two years, GoMo Health’s Concierge Care® solution has proven to be the most cost-effective and efficient way for El Paso First Health Plan, inc., a non-profit health plan serving El Paso and Hudspeth counties in Texas, to encourage members to schedule and complete regular well care visits and promote healthy behaviors.
El Paso First recently conducted a study comparing the cost effectiveness and patient responsiveness between text messaging with GoMo Health’s Concierge Care® platform and traditional member engagement that included postcard mailings and phone calls. Investing near equal dollars on both tactics, El Paso First received a 336% higher response from text messaging.
To gather additional feedback on this ongoing member engagement strategy, El Paso First conducted a focus group to determine which form of communication people respond best to. The results came in with a majority of those surveyed stating that text is the number one preferred method of communication for health-related messaging.
