A chatbot is a computer program designed to simulate conversation with humans via messaging, text, or speech, and they are becoming increasingly popular in healthcare.
The global chatbox market is expected to reach $1.23 billion by 2025, a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 24.3%. As of 2018, 15 percent of American adults say they have used a chatbot to interact with a company in the prior 12 months. This is almost precisely the same percentage of Americans who own a smart speaker (Amazon Alexa, Google Home, et al.) as of January 2018.
