Adding New Non-Clinical Patient Engagement that Impacts HCAHPS

Boston, Mass. — Today, at Planetree’s 2015 International Conference on Patient-Centered Care, GoMo Health Concierge Care®, a suite of mobile patient engagement solutions for use in-home with in-the-moment content that directly supports personalized health needs and remote care regimens, announced the addition of its first in-hospital solution. The new Concierge Care Inpatient Satisfaction solution allows patients to use their mobile, tablet or laptop to make real-time requests from a menu of non-clinical services provided by the hospital; communicating requests directly to specific departments to ensure their most comfortable experience.

Comfort-centric services include assistance with managing pain, food service needs, bathroom help, room temperature control and noise level reduction. Additional ROI and service recovery improvement is now possible as the patient requests automatically route to the correct person in that service function and bypass the on-duty nurse who can now can focus on quality care and not be the middleman for non-clinical service requests.

Concierge Care is being used to engage patients by healthcare organizations including University of Nebraska Medical Center, Rhode Island Hospital and HackensackUMC at Pascack Valley. It uses behavioral methodology to personalize patient engagement and bridge the communication gap between patients, caregivers and providers; this model delivers “snackable bites” of condition-specific education to patients, motivating them to more effectively self-manage their conditions and enabling them to more easily provide data back for evidence based reporting into EMR and other portals.
