Amerigroup and GoMo Health Unveil Cutting-Edge Virtual Assistant to Help Georgia’s Foster Care Youth and Caregivers Build Resilience and Succeed in Life
Atlanta, December 10, 2024: Amerigroup Georgia and GoMo Health are pleased to announce the launch of the Personalized Virtual Assistant, an innovative digital tool designed to support foster care youth ages 14-26 who are transitioning from adolescence to adulthood. This new resource provides real-time, personalized guidance and support tailored to meet the unique needs of these young adults and their caregivers, including foster parents, adoptive parents, guardians, and birth parents. By delivering customized interventions and reminders, the virtual assistant helps keep transition age youth engaged, communicating and on track to achieve their individual goals.
The Amerigroup Personalized Virtual Assistant also connects users to health and social service providers—both clinical and non-clinical—to facilitate direct referrals when needed. This integration ensures that families receive comprehensive, real-time support that aligns with their specific needs.
“Our Personalized Virtual Assistant is a transformative tool that empowers transition age youth and their caregivers,” said Bhavini Solanki, LPC, Director, Georgia Families 360°. “We are committed to providing accessible, personalized support that meets individuals where they are, fostering resilience, and promoting positive outcomes for families across Georgia.”
To monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the virtual assistant program, a user-friendly reporting center is available. This center compiles data and metrics related to key performance indicators (KPIs), providing insights into the impact of the program on enhancing family support, improving response times, and fostering better outcomes within the child welfare system.
“At GoMo Health, we believe in meeting people where they are and providing real-time support that makes a difference,” said Bob Gold, Chief Behavioral Technologist at GoMo Health. “Our collaboration with Amerigroup Georgia on the Personalized Virtual Assistant exemplifies our commitment to delivering behavioral health solutions that enhance the well-being of youth and families, empowering them to achieve their goals and lead healthier lives.”
