ViaCord Concierge: A Helping Hand for Expectant Mothers

By |Published On: December 7th, 2016|

ViaCord, a leading provider of newborn cord blood banking services under the parent company PerkinElmer, has launched the ViaCord Prenatal Program utilizing GoMo Health’s Concierge Care® Transition Support program for expectant women.

The ViaCord Prenatal Program utilizes mobile technology to nurture soon-to-be moms with a custom prenatal program that delivers resources designed to educate and support them week-by-week throughout their pregnancy. ViaCord has partnered with ten different OB/GYN practices to deliver the messaging.

To join the program, patients complete a basic survey that provides insight into their health history, previous pregnancies, circle of support, emotional and psychological well-being, and how far along they are into their pregnancy. After completing the survey, expectant mothers will receive custom content related to their pregnancy journey. Patients receive one Care Message™ per week during the length of their pregnancy. Some messages drive to quick pages, which provide information in more detail. All content is educational in nature, with topics including nutrition, baby development, exercise, and cord blood banking.

For more than 20 years, ViaCord has been providing umbilical cord blood stem cell collections for families, and has been involved in leading edge research to find new stem cell therapies for diseases like cancer, juvenile diabetes, and heart disease.
