Smoother Recruitment and Longer Retention for Improved Oncology Clinical Trial Outcomes

ASBURY PARK, NJ, and ROCKVILLE, MD – The National Foundation for Cancer Research (NFCR) and GoMo Health have formed a collaboration to enhance critically important oncology clinical trials. The GoMo Health evidence-based clinical trial engagement, referral, and telehealth adherence system is being made available to help cancer patients identify clinical studies, accelerate trial qualification and recruitment processes, and synchronize with the GoMo telehealth system for improved retention and engagement. The system, Research for a Cure Clinical Trial Patient Hub, significantly increases accurate data collection and reduces time and costs for investigator sites and their staff.

Through the integration of proprietary artificial intelligence, in conjunction with an integrated human and digital care team, a referral coordinator can answer questions from cancer patients and guide those interested through an otherwise frequently complicated clinical studies pre-screening process. Qualified patients will be connected directly to trial sites and be provided with information and support to increase adherence to therapies and regimens. The digital therapeutic enhancement tool is powered by GoMo Health and applies the company’s proprietary behavioral engagement methodology to increase activation while keeping clinical study participants compliant with their therapies.

Together, NFCR and GoMo Health are advancing the National Foundation for Cancer Research’s commitment to fighting cancer through breakthrough research and biomedical innovation that benefits patients.

“This collaboration with GoMo Health offers an exciting vehicle to identify treatment options for oncology patients,” said Sujuan Ba, Ph.D., President and CEO of NFCR. “It will move the awareness and recruitment cycle into a fast forward mode and shorten the time for potential patients to qualify and be randomized into trials that could benefit them and millions of others.  It’s our aim to positively affect clinical trial timelines and bring new cancer therapies to those in need as early as possible, and our collaboration with GoMo Health advances us closer to that.”

“The value to people with cancer and their families of the Research for a Cure Clinical Trial Patient Hub is a reduction in the stress and anxiety of the unknown and the time to research all of the confusing options by enabling them to easily discover and participate in research trials that can be helpful and impactful to them and others suffering from cancer,” stated Bob Gold, CEO and Chief Behavioral Technologist of GoMo Health.
