Project Description

Ensuring families and caregivers have the tools they need to succeed

Florida Grade-Level Reading Campaign (FGLRC) is a collaborative effort by foundations, nonprofit partners, business leaders, government agencies, and communities across the nation to ensure that more children in low-income families succeed in school and graduate prepared for college, a career and a life of active citizenship. The Campaign focuses on an important predictor of school success and high school graduation: grade-level reading by the end of third grade.

FGLRC sought ways to increase the awareness of the importance of quality early education and interactions and to provide families, educators, and communities with messages and tools for developing children’s language and literacy.

Preparing children in Florida for success

GoMo EarlyCare powered by Florida Grade-Level Reading Campaign is a Childhood Education Program designed to engage with parents and caregivers to promote early childhood literacy, learning, health, and wellness for newborns up to age 8.

GoMo EarlyCare is an opt-in program based on baby’s date of birth. Educational text messages with links to resources are sent to each user, with deep dives on key childhood education topics. All messages are personalized to be appropriate for the age of the child.
